Scientist Radley Horton talks with the host of NPR’s Talk of the Nation-Science Friday, Ira Flatow, and the New York Times’ DotEarth blog author Andrew Revkin about New York City’s infrastructure vulnerabilities. He said, “we’ve known that New York City has a lot of vulnerabilities as a densely populated coastal city.” Dr. Horton also discussed strategies to reduce vulnerability such as redundant energy systems and elevating critical infrastructure, among others.
