UCCRN and I4CE Provides Scientific Brief for Lima-Paris Action Agenda Cities & Sub-National Focus

During COP 21, the Lima-Paris Action Agenda (LPAA) partners will respond to the ‘Lima Call for Climate Action’ launched at COP 20 by convening a series of events that showcase actions and commitments by LPAA stakeholders. The main Action Day is scheduled for Saturday, 5 December and will feature a High Level Meeting on Climate Action. Before and after Action Day, a series of LPAA Focus high level events will highlight commitments in each of the 12 LPAA Action Areas.

On December 8, 2015, the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN) and the Institute for Climate Economic (I4CE) provided a Scientific Brief on the Implications of local and regional jurisdictions for mitigation and adaptation to climate change: How can they enhance engagement of their constituents? State of science and focus on economic and financial tools to the LPAA Cities & Sub-National thematic event. At the meeting, city and regional representative from all over the world launched a five-year vision to take action on climate change.
